Summer Camp

If you’ve heard about Cattail Creek Farms’ Summer Camps, then you already know they are an awesome hands-on experience for your child. Children learn, work and laugh together as they discover the joy and responsibilities of safe riding and horse management. Lessons are organized for small groups, accommodating riders at all levels.

Summer Camps run all morning, all summer long. We learn bathing, grooming for shows, saddling up, barn etiquette, leading and horse care. Horse clinics are followed by an outdoor lesson geared to each skill level for one hour. We also do some fun horse crafts!

Confident horse care, safety practices, and the enjoyment of a relationship with a horse is shown. We focus on skills-oriented English horseback riding under the direction of our qualified coaches. Week-long summer camps are non-competitive. A balanced seat in a combined training approach: dressage or flat work, and jumping are taught.
